Recess or Exact Fitting ?
Recess measurements allow the blind to sit within the window. Measure the width (side wall to side wall) and drop (lintel to windowsill) and we will make the appropriate deductions to ensure a perfect fit.
Measure in 3 places for both the width and drop. Use the smallest measurement taken and do not make any deductions. Use a metal tape measure as cloth ones can stretch and give you inaccurate readings.
To fit out side your window recess on the wall. In this case we will make the blind to your measurements with no deductions. This option should also be used if you have different type of configuration and you are confident in measuring correctly.
Note we will make the blind bracket to bracket size. This means the actual cloth will be around 18mm less on each side.
Measure the exact width of the area you would like the blind to cover (we recommend the blind to overlap the outside of the window by at least 50-70mm). The drop on the blind is a matter of personal choice, however please take into account obstacles such as radiators.
